What is the best flooring for Florida homes?
Vinyl plank and porcelain tile hold up best in Florida because they resist moisture. Engineered hardwood is also a solid option in air conditioned spaces. We do not recommend solid hardwood in bathrooms, laundry rooms, or unconditioned spaces.
How long does a flooring install take?
A single room takes one day in most cases. A whole house depending on square footage usually takes three to five days. Tile work takes a little longer because of the setting and curing time.
Do I need to move my furniture?
We help with moving furniture as part of the job. We ask that you remove small items, breakables, and electronics beforehand, but we take care of the heavy pieces.
Do you pull permits for flooring work?
Standard flooring replacement does not require a permit in Tampa. If structural subfloor repairs are needed, we walk you through what applies in your situation.
